Can any one suggest simple, yet affective software to work with OMF?
I am editing sound for a video company. I have had problems working in ProTools 5, G3, OS9 back when you didn't have to pay for DigiTranslator. I now work on a G4 Powerbook with an Mbox... but what is up with this iLok and DigiTranslator crap?
Confusing, costs hundreds, makes me sad. And I hear it has loads of bugs to be worked out.
I know that Logic Pro will import OMF, and I have picked up Bias....
Any other suggestions? I am starting to really question ProTools.....

try using aaf instead of omf with your protools. you still might have to get the upgrade to the video crap you mentioned. other than that.... logic pro, final cut pro, avid but try to see if you can use .aaf advanced authoring format. seems to work better on cross platform look it up hope this helps. editbrain
