Editing was always easier in Pro Tools, it's grid was easy to use and see, kind of like graphics programs, canvas etc where you could put the grid on the screen, and this really made cutting easy, midi came later, it sucked at first but improved when v5 came out and it's a pretty cool midi implementation now, I love the all in one window approach of Pro Tools. Logic did come from a purely midi background and has taken on board the all in one window aproach to some degree as most programs have but you can't put a grid up and you have to press too many modifiers to get some simple functions done. You can of course edit the key commands but it takes time and application and nerdness to gain that kind of knowledge.
A leaky radiator? wow, someone must've cracked the one about putting an egg in there..? Would it void your warranty?

Thanks tsuliman for that - I was getting worried about LogicPro - there's a theme running through quite a few fora here that say it's got problems - I'm so looking forward to getting the upgrade. ourmanflinty - good point - I think the eggs are a little below Apple standard - however - I do have a BMW mechanic standing by with a wrench - just in case. Ahem! - moving on... PT

MMmmmm... Fried eggs and glycol! For what it's worth, I found out that the radiators in the G5 are made by Delphi Automotive Group based here in Detroit! Here's my first sad Logic story: I recorded a drumset part on 8 tracks in Logic. I wanted to edit out some noise the way I did in ProTools by selecting a section and pressing delete. Well, in Logic you don't delete noise, you ADD silence! So when I deleted a section, it actually shifted the rest of the audio forward and ruined the timing on one of the tracks, and destroyed the whole thing! I have a lot to learn, but as a Mac user, I take pride in never reading manuals.
