Newby to Logic Pro 6 but trying to transfer MIDI file from Cubase to Logic. Want to use audio instruments for existing parts but drums written in MIDI format won't play properly in EXS24 using drum voices. Suggestions?

maybe the key mappings are differnt.
i.e. kick on middle c in cubase may be kick on c2 in logic? just a wild guess. open the matrix editor and try moving the notes around til you hear the correct drum sound. |

Thanks for reply Editbrain but have alrteady tried! The drum map given for audio instruments in EXS are VERY limited and only a limited number of drums are given (ie not same as MIDI drums map). My student has specified guiro in his MIDI file but no-go. Sorry, don't have the experience of Macs or Logic to think my way around this.

try using gm drum kit in exs24, this conforms to "general midi" standard.
only the "eco" (economical) kits are limited, so do not use these. if this does not work, it means that your cubase drums are using a custom map in this case you will have to follow editbrain's good advice Ce message a été modifié par damann - dim. 21 nov. 2004, 18:53. -------------------- one for all and all for one...
