Nuendo has worse performance, and unbelievable as it is more bugs than SX.

its an apple app and rock solid.

I never had Logic Pro 6 crash on me once.

Logic Pro 7 crashes frequently - stupid reasons - like editing a frozen track ... cancelling a bounce ...

I do agree that it is potentially streets ahead of the rest .. but we do need a major bug fix.

Finally, i don't feel alone in this world anymore. Logic 7 has great features, but i feel a bit ripped of... a dual G5 at 4 times the price of a standard PC + a 1000 euro software app... it should work fine! shame on apple this time...

Like a few other guys, I have both programs. I feel each has its strengths and weaknesses.

As a total studio environment, SX is both better featured and supported than DP, but great work can be done in both. For MIDI, both are really good. Cubase has both more features and a better studio paradigm for doing real mixes and masters (not just demos). You don't have quite as many hoops to jump through as with DP and I like the look of the interface better.

That being said, Cubase is a CPU pig and Steinberg is notorius for releasing beta software as upgrades. While DP is a year behind the curve, for plain sequencing and export to MIDI for use in ProTools, it will run very well on a PowerBook and will suit your needs.
