Has anyone used Logic Ultrabeat step sequencer yet?
I have created several patterns within the step sequencer in Logic pro 7 Ultrabeat, but unfortunately the pattern mode does not work, either through a programmed object within Logic or as a note from my midi keyboard. All I am getting is single hits- its not playing the pattern. I love the Ultrabeat & would love it to work. Any ideas where I am going wrong?

I have followed the instructions in the manual P338 (as there were no tutorial files included on the discs) & they seem straight forward enough, but I just cant seem to trigger the programmed patterns.

Cheers

You need to play notes C-2 through B0 to get the Sequences bit to work.

Also you need to hold the note for as long as you want the sequence to play, which means that if you only hold the note for 1 beat you will only get one beat of the sequence played.

i think that there is a misunderstanding here.

c-1 does not mean c (dash) 1. it means c (negative) 1.

if you have an oxygen or some 25 key midi controller. you have to go down octives until the lcd has d-1 on it. then the low c key becomes c-1. the best way to do this is to look at the Logic transport. keep hitting the low C note until you see C-1 in the transport. make sure you have the patten mode turned on.
you will hear the loop. it does work.

happy recording,
