I tried, I really tried... in the end I gave up and bought an Maudio audiophile 2496 thinking that if I had a dedicated sound card then all would be sweet - what a dummy, it's even more complex. I followed the manula... it lies, or tells halve truths. What I want to know is this:

I have reason and VST. Reason doesn't seem to have a way to route straight audio through to record. I pressed all the switches on M-Audio Delta (the control panel) and that doesn't seem to help... I pressed a lot of buttons in Reason... still no good - any ideas how to route one through the other ? Midi is tough too...

In Cubase I can get a distorted midi through to make simple quicktime music synthesiser work - but it's distorted - so what's up ? as far as real audio goes - nothing !

I got all my video stuff working after a month so I know it is all possible - but help !!!!! Assume I really do know nothing, cause' by the time the instruction gets from my brain to my fingers - nothing works....

Did you engage the channels and move the faders to 0db?
