Newbie here, so hi to all...

Ive been studying sound engineering for past year but havent got my hands on pro tools yet. I'm going to be using pro tools for the next two years and so I have decided to sell my PC and get a G5. This is so that I can work with it at home as opposed to only while i'm at college. What I am a little afraid of though is this. I've been trying to compose my own music on my pc using fruityloops. I have a few vst plugins which I love and although I havent had any records out yet i'm not sure how pro tools is going to fare on this front. What I need is a little advice on what sound modules to buy to make decent trance/techno with pro tools. I'll be buying an mbox along with my G5 (i'm going for the dual 1.8 option) and a motu usb midi thingy so that I can plug in hardware modules and my midi controller (I intend getting a hardware sound module or two as well). Any advice or links to websites with these sorts of themes would be much appreciated.

Shouldn't have any problems, even though it will take Digidesign months to officially certify the new machines.

PTLE comes with Reason adpated, you can upgrade to the full version, should provide you with all the synth and sampler power you'll need to get started.

Actually, you can find Reason 2.5 brand new for around $289 to $400.

Also, the current upgrade price from Reason Adapted
to Reason 2.5 is around $250, but that is a limited time upgrade
I think.
