I Highly recommend you check out "Logic 6 - Professional Music Creation and Audio Production" by Martin Sitter and Robert Brock. This is part of the Apple Pro Training Series. This is a great book for learning the basics of Logic.

I'd like to widen the question slightly if I may, and ask if anyone out there can recommend a good, clear, and above all else *recently* published 'Guide to Midi sequencing and home recording" or similar title. I've looked around the net and the only ones that are currently in print were written pre 1995 or earlier; so wont be of much help in decrypting the the ever burgeoning plague of strange acronyms and abbreviations which seem to have taken over the midi biz of late.
Thanks. |

Don't know if this will help, but i have looked for glossaries and explanations of acronyms and abbreviations. The best one I've found so far is on the Sound On Sound magazine website. Go to:

Thanks for the suggestions.
Last week I purchased Logic (Apple Pro Training) by Martin Sitter & Robert Brock and it is most excellent. Doesn't have much info regarding ES1, ES2, EVOC20, EXS24 etc but its got me making music in Logic in no time. |
