I Highly recommend you check out "Logic 6 - Professional Music Creation and Audio Production" by Martin Sitter and Robert Brock. This is part of the Apple Pro Training Series. This is a great book for learning the basics of Logic.

Don't know if this will help, but i have looked for glossaries and explanations of acronyms and abbreviations. The best one I've found so far is on the Sound On Sound magazine website. Go to: http://www.soundonsound.com/information/Glossary.php

Thanks for the suggestions. Last week I purchased Logic (Apple Pro Training) by Martin Sitter & Robert Brock and it is most excellent. Doesn't have much info regarding ES1, ES2, EVOC20, EXS24 etc but its got me making music in Logic in no time.
