VST instruments are amazing! To a point, where at times it makes rack modules obsolete, IMO.

I basically just have my K2000 on a rack, the rest is VST: Waldorf Attack, PPG Wave, Pro 52, Absynth

I'm a big fan of the analogue and 'synth' sound, so my collection totally reflects that. smile.gif The Pro 52 is a brilliant recreation of the original, so I definitely recommend it. Native Instruments just makes amazing products.

Now, add software by Propellerheads (Reason, Rebirth) and you got this powerhouse in your computer. These are certainly good times for musicians on a budget. smile.gif

take care;
John

Thanks for the instant reply:)

It makes a difference to hear directly from someone who has
gone for the change from our much loved SVP to a new app
with new challenges AND hopefully benefits.

What do you make of VST instruments? Which do you have, how do they sound
compared to hardware modules? I have a rack of stuff from an old
Roland S-330 sampler through JV-1080, Emu-piano, Roland D-50 etc.
I'd be interested in the VST B4 (Hammond organ)
and Prophet 52 soundalike. Any experience of any of these, others?
