Hello
I have produced some nice backing tracks using an edirol pcr 30 keyboard and reason on my 12" powerbook and cube.
A question..... I am just doing this for fun so don't want to go to any great expense.
What would be for me the best way of getting some vocals onto the tracks I have created?
I do own a very old microphone with 2 great big rca jackplugs at the end of the cable...could I use this in some way??
Thxjava script:emoticon('')

Is $80 a 'great expense'? If not, get Tracktion. It can act as a Rewire host for Reason and allow you to record audio along with your Reason tracks, and render it all to .aiff. I have this setup and it is AWESOME! It really makes Reason feel complete, and the features of Tracktion compliment Reason very well (and vice versa). Also, it isn't a complicated app, so you could integrate it with Reason very quickly. It is well worth the $80, trust me. I was considering Cubase and Logic when I discovered Tracktion, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I really feel that the Tracktion/Reason combo is a very cost-effective solution, especially if you already own Reason.

Hey thanks for your reply.
Would I still need some sort of midi interface or can I plug the mike directly into the sound input socket of the powerbook?

You could go directly in, though you'll want to use some effects as a mic preamp. Look for the free mda vst effects. I'll try and post a link later.

That's funny, it seems to run just fine on my Mac blink.gif

The site must need updating. Here's the OS X demo.
