I am trying to install OMS to run the Roland PMAConvertTool on my iMac running X.3. I have installed OMS in Classic environment but everytime I try to run the setup it just quits. No error message. nothing. What do I do to make this $#%^#$% thing work? BC

Uh, yes kaboom, but you can use OMS in Classic. the thing is to be able to install it. I've seen that somewhere… got to find it again… You can install OMS and sometimes get it to work since 10.2x… Now it's a rather tedious affair. I can't find the how to right now. One thing I remember is that the MIDI interface is very important and only a few are known to work (and it's not definitive) there's the midisport 2X2, Edirol-UM-1… Also maybe a solution in beta, check thisBut you're right it's $*%£@&# Ask the Finale users, until shortly they were in HELL.

Actually, Roland has already discontinued both the hardware and software a few years ago. I'm using an old Mac at work to run it on but I don't really have the desk space at home for 2 computers. Oh well... I guess I'll just have to upgrade everything else up to my iMac.
Thanks all, BC
