I'm currently using an mBox with Pro Tools LE. I'm very comfortable with ProTools but I'm not satisfied with the MIDI. So, I'm thinking of switching to Logic Express when it comes out. It'll do everything that ProTools does and does notatio, which I like.
So, what I need to know is, what would be a logical replacement for my mBox? What plugin architecture does Logic use? Will there be a learning curve?
Any other ideas would be great.
BTW, Garage Band rocks. I know there has been some discussion around here - just my two cents.
Thanks

Have a look at my pinned post on the Mbox in OSX… worth reading. Dmrkh, it's casual talk… people should use the search and read… but there's still need for some updates, ilke the one I did on the Mbox. Now, PT is intuitive, fast, in audio, decent sequencing and MIDI for the rest of us. Logic is good in audio (one of the best around) but has a workspace and a philosophy less accessible yet that can be learned. It's MIDI side is certainly the most comprehensive around. The most flexible too. I'd try the demo before, and have a look at Digital Performer, as strong in Audio but easier in the MIDI. If you need total control in MIDI, get Logic.
