Motu 828 And Cubase Sx 2 Options

I have been using motu 828 and cubase 1 fine for a year now...Then I upgraded and I can´t get it to work. I chose the motu box in prefrences and under vst connections it lists all my inputs. But when i try to chose an input like it did before all i get from the menu is stereo left and right. Is there a new way of doing it in version 2? Any help? Thanks
