I'm new to utilizing midi with my Mac. Basically I need to do a OS update on my EMU XL-7 synth and I have to do it in OS9 because EMU''s software is only available in 9 (I usually work in OSX). I am super confused with OMS 2.3.8...I can't get to work ever, tried trashing it and starting over but to no avail and following directions to a tee. This is what I have:

TiBook G4 800
M-Audio Radium 49
Emu XL-7 Command Station
Midi Cables

If anyone can give me a walk through on how to get this going it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

OMS/M-audio as usal wink.gif

First trash OMS, M-AUdio drivers, preferences for both.

Reboot and rebuild the desktop (command-option on start up)

Install OMS

then install M-Audio drivers. (the latest… check)

Configure.

It should work, if not try again, sometimes OMS is a bit deaf… Else I move the thread to getting started, have a look at the other threads on the radium, it may be of some help. cool.gif
