I'm looking for a program like Frutyloops For MAC. I'm useing Pro Tools LE. with the Mbox.Any sugestions on what I can use that souds
good and is easy to use? |

I've tried Naked Drums it sounds great but I can't seem to figure out how to use It.

Check out Groove Agent, not sure if it's right for your setup, but definitely check it out...
http://ga.clubcubase.net/ I'm thinking of buying it myself. I'm sorry if I assumed that you're looking for just a drum pattern/fill generator. That's what my next purchase will be in any event. I don't really know FruityLoops, but that's what I thought it was for. -misspentyouth |

I'm actually in the same boat: I'm looking for Mac software that's similar to FruityLoops -- something to create drum tracks.
It looks like you simply feed Groove Agent a tempo and feel and it makes it up -- I'm looking for something that I can actually program individual drum hits (kicker, snare, etc.) to patch together my own drum beats. Any experienced Mac musicians know of such a software I can use? Or would going MIDI be a better route? EDIT: Actually, after poking around, I found this in another post that someone recommended: Doggiebox - www.zygoat.ca/products/ This looks like it might solve your problem, jspat, although it sez it requires OSX. I'm not sure how FruityLoops works, but...
I just got Plugsound Vol 4 Hiphop&R'nB Toolkit. It has some dope-ass drum sounds (and keys, bass, etc.), plus a lot of drum loops, and it was pretty cheap. It's basically a really simple sample player, and works as a plug-in. I've been using it from within DP4.1, and I like it a lot so far. The reverb sucks though, and the software has the "challenge/response" hassle. Supposedly you can access the samples from MachFive too, but I haven't gotten that to work yet. I think they have a Drums and Percussion volume too. As a side-note, I considered getting Battery from Native Instruments, but after browsing NI's forums for a while, I don't think I'll ever buy anything from them. Prost |

battery is great and easy to use though. Try Reason... It's simple, gives you more than just drums and is easy to use through rewire (i've daid this like 4 times in reply today)
also RM IV drumsampler is great |
