Is there any way (preferably free) I can convert an mp3 file to MIDI? I do have a use for this.
I have an Alesis USB/MIDI Percussion Controller, which triggers sound in my Macbook Pro. I want to do this live. What kind of amp should I get for the Mac onstage?
I have an iMac PPC 2.0 GHz 1.5 RAM and have had no problem with Reason 3.05. But now I am having difficulties with 4.01. It will stall and send the beachball into motion for up to 10 seconds before it refreshes . I have increased the buffer size, increased CPU usage to 90% and have disabled Airport. Any one else with this problem?
I currently use an Akai hardware sampler and Alesis drum module, which I trigger with a Roland Octapad. I would love to replace the sampler and drum module with a software synth. I have Reason 3.0.4. I need to make multiple program changes in the music I do. Can the NN-XT (Reason in general, I guess) accept program changes from my (or any) external controller? I don't have enough time to manually switch patches in the NN-XT. If not, could I maybe have separate individual program changes sent to individual NN-XT devices, which I am able to do with the hardware modules?
I would like to get a 20" iMac g4 for home audio and MIDI projects - hobby only, not pro use. Can this machine handle Digital Performer, Reason and Pro Tools LE, as long as I don't go overboard with plug ins?
