 Motu 828 Conflicts On Some Firewire Hard Drives? |

Hi there,
I was just about decided on what set-up I was going to go for (Logic 6, iMac G4 800mhz, Motu 828, MT4) when someone at logic technical informed me that the motu 828 can conflict with certain firewire hardrives. Now in the meantime this doesn't matter to me because I'll just be using the internal drive on the iMac, but when I have the money I want to get a seperate firewire hard drive - so this concerned me a little. Has anyone else heard this sort of thing? I hear wonderful things about the motu 828 and I really fancy getting one - but I don't want to have a nightmare on my hands when I try and purchase a drive in the future. Any info would be much appreciated, thanks! |

Hi,
I have a MOTU 828 and I use it with a LaCie external firewire drive and it works like a dream. Also works fine with a LaCie external F.W CD burner. |
