I recentley moved to the Grand Rapids MI area, and my vocalist is hosting an open mic night and is looking for musician's. He's also trying to find a used strat at a real cheap price. If anyone wants to know more or just hello back, please do. I dont come here often, although this is one of the better forums I have visited.
I had a member of my forum share this guitar trick, and I found it rather interesting and thought maybe others would enjoy it.
"I thought you all would enjoy a old/new tuning middle four tuning/double D tuning. You get an old strap capo take it apart and cut the capo rubber so it covers just the middle 4 strings. You place the cut capo rubber on the rod backwards and pull the straps around the neck and fasten to the capo rod. this keeps the 2 e strings open. You can look for a old Buffy St. Marie song called "Codine" good luck".
