Hi,
Just wondering if anyone is using two computers within their recording set-up (E.G one to play soft synths, one to record).
I'm thinking of using a PC with my current g4 1.33 Powerbook (I have a lot of PC software from a previous set-up). I'm using a MOTU 828MKII via firewire with the mac at the moment, but the mac can't cope with playing & recording when I use NI products etc. I know that the MOTU has two firewire ports, but I'm pretty new to this.
Just wondering if this is possible & if anyone has any experience.
Also, has anyone got any tips for tweaking a G4 Powerbook for recording.
Any advice would be helpful.
Vega
Hi,
First posting here, so hope you can help.
I'm looking for an audio to midi converter, in order to allow me to transcribe audio recorded drum parts a bit easier. I'm doing it by ear at the moment!
I have Cubase to do the transcription, but I believe that it has to be in a midi format for it to work.
I need to know if anyone has any experience with converting audio to midi, and what software is best for the job (or freeware even!).
I'm a newbie, so go easy!
Thanks,
Vega
