Laptop

I may purchase the G4 Ti 667MHZ laptop to run my Logic 4.7.
Would I be able to run all audio/audio instruments (no midi), most would be 10 tracks, I like effects too.
I would put in about 600RAM

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
I am running a G4 500mhz, 512 RAM, 40GIG.
when i record audio instruments in Logic and then close the file and reopen it all the tempo changes. I can resolve it by merely shifting the tempo, but its about 2-5 beats a minute everytime! Of course ALL other AUDIO is now out of sync.
I have tried switching off every extension and having a logic only settings but alas.
I am very perplexed.

Help!
I am on logic 4.6, does anyone have any idea why, when i shut down the file and reopen, my audio instruments are no longer keeping the same tempo. i can fix it by rearranging the tempo by 2 or 3 seconds but everything else is now out.

Music Arranging

I am going to Brasil armed with laptop and logic and I want to study music arrangement (and composition)as, as a singer/lyricist I hear words primarily.
can anyone recommend a good tutorial for arranging music? not so interested in classical however anything that can help me arrange my music well would be a help.
Would prefer interactive CD or some such rather than a book.

what is the best laptop I can buy thats cheap to run logic 4.6?
will the new ibook do it? or should I get a powerbook but a bit older version?
