I am new to the Apple platform and am using a G4 Powerbook and Logic Audio. I have recorded a number of songs and seem to be getting the hang of using the software. I am using a Tascam US-122 as my interface and an old Yamaha keyboard as my MIDI controller. I record a lot of audio (vocals and acoustic guitar) and really enjoyed the software. My daughter wanted me to make a CD of her singing the "Star Spangled Banner" (it's a long story) and I recorded her without a hitch. Then I realized I had no idea how to take this recording (or any of the others I have made) and put it down on a CD. I checked the Logic manual and another guide book, but could not find any help. Am I missing something fundamental here? Or is there an easy trick to "export" (if that's the right word) a song to a CD?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

There is no direct to CD option in Logic - so what you need to do first is bounce the song to an AIFF or mp3 file (this is a fundamental issue that is definitely covered in the manual - to make it easy on you, open the track mixer and click on the little bounce button at the bottom of the master channel fader). Then import the resulting file to another program that will burn an audio CD, like Toast. The easiest thing to do would probably be to import into iTunes and burn a CD from there. You know how to do that, right? wink.gif

Very helpful. Now I know at least how to proceed from here. Many thanks.
