I just got a Belkin usb to serial convertor. I hooked it up to my studio 4. Oms seems to recognize that there is a studio 4 connected. However, it can not figure out what is connected to the Studio 4. After I enter all the items connected and try to test the studio oms says that it con not determine the state of the studio 4 and will not use it.
I have no idea what to do from here. Any ideas? |

My advice is to avoid using any USB - Serial converter if at all possible... i have noticed that those converters are picky and don't always work with everything... I had one and could not use my Epson printer with it. I would look for another means of connection or upgrade the serial device.

As far as I know the stealthport, and the keyspan serial port PCI card are the only options that support serial port midi, on the newer machines.
