VST instruments are amazing! To a point, where at times it makes rack modules obsolete, IMO.

I basically just have my K2000 on a rack, the rest is VST: Waldorf Attack, PPG Wave, Pro 52, Absynth

I'm a big fan of the analogue and 'synth' sound, so my collection totally reflects that. The Pro 52 is a brilliant recreation of the original, so I definitely recommend it. Native Instruments just makes amazing products.

Now, add software by Propellerheads (Reason, Rebirth) and you got this powerhouse in your computer. These are certainly good times for musicians on a budget.

What do you make of VST instruments? Which do you have, how do they sound
compared to hardware modules? I have a rack of stuff from an old
Roland S-330 sampler through JV-1080, Emu-piano, Roland D-50 etc.
I'd be interested in the VST B4 (Hammond organ)
and Prophet 52 soundalike. Any experience of any of these, others?
