Hi, it's me again, with my audiomedia.
The Digidesign Audiomedia III has 2 input channels (S/PDIF & Analog ). I am a drummer and I need to record the drums, with at least 6 micros. I use Logic audio and a Powermac 9600 / 350 with 7 slots ! One is used by my Audiomedia. With this card, I can only record 2 channels for the drums. I'd like to be able to record 6 at least in order to modify the sound of each drum component (using VST and Logic native plugins). Is anyone know if an extension to the Audiomedia exists ? Should I buy 2 more Audiomedias to put in my empty slots (that would mean 6 inputs) ? Thanx for all ! |

I dont think Audiomedia III was made to be extensible..
Depending on the program you use, you better have to by an 8 inputs card. If you want to stay with digidesign, you could find an 'old' PCI24 protools card with an 882 interface, at a good price. You either can find cards from MOTU, or other manufacturers. BTW, the 9600 has 6 slots ![]() -------------------- Soif, MacMusic Webmaster
