well not sure what version of Logic you are using but... if you click on the portion of the track in arrange window that says "audio 1" or "audio 2" etc... then I think it should pop up a contextual menu of sorts that lets you change the track to whatever type you like... then just select which audio instrument you want to use... should be covered in manual.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but...Do you have audio instruments available in your Environment? If not, you might want to try creating one there to see if it shows up on your track list. Hope that helps.

configuring your audio drivers is going to make no difference in this situation... you said you tried everything posted here but I don't think you understand what i was telling you because it just doesn't show up by opening arrange window (unless you create an autoload file with it set that way).... you have to click and hold on one of the audio tracks (in arrange window) right on top of the word "audio"... then a menu pops up... then goto audio>audio instrument>(then select which AI track you want) and if this doesn't show up... then make sure as stated above you have AI setup in your enironment correctly (see manual)...it should be that easy and if it isn't... I am guessing you didn't acquire a manual for your Logic and/or something is wrong with your copy and might want to reinstall or buy new copy with manual cool.gif
