 828mk2 Optical Output Feeding Digital Monitors, 828mk2 Toslink to feed Digital Monitors? |

'Ello,
I've got a G5 + 828mk2 with Optical In & Out (Toslink or ADAT). I know I have everything plugged in correctly, because I can play songs in iTunes and hear it through the digital monitors. (using the Toslink Output on the 828 to feed the digital monitors). The problem is: When I start up Reason, audio is not played back through the digital monitors at all. I've got signal in Reason, and signal on the 828mk2's meters. But no sound in the monitors... I can get signal through the headphones output of the 828, but nothing in the monitors. any help appreciated. -------------------- G5, Dual 2.0GHz, 2GHz RAM, 250G HD

I think I figured it out, I need to sync the word clocks right?
a s/pdif connection from the 828mk2 --> the Digital Monitors. -------------------- G5, Dual 2.0GHz, 2GHz RAM, 250G HD

wrong again, (man I love talkin to myself)
dont need to sync w/ s/pdif. just need to make sure the program you're using (reason) is set to the right output channels. in this case, the 828mk2's TOSlink outputs are on channels 11-12. woohoo! -------------------- G5, Dual 2.0GHz, 2GHz RAM, 250G HD
