Mac Not Reading Audio Cds, Why does my computer not read audio CDs?

This is my first posting here at MacMusic.org, and I'm not sure if I'm in the right forum for this question. I have a Mac 9600 upgraded to a G4/800mhz/592mb ram. Does anyone have a clue as to why this computer will not read audio cds? I would like to be able to rip songs from cds, burn cds in Toast 5.2 Lite, and be able to use them on this computer. I can't use Toast to burn cds, because the computer says all the audio cds are not "initialized". Please help. I have burned data cds in Toast, and the computer will read them, but not audio. Anyone able to help? Thank you very much, R. Williams
