I am trying out the software sequencing thing... its much different than a MPC, thats for sure. I'm not ready to give up yet though, it could get interesting.
My question for you intelligent souls is dealing with Reason and Recycle. Typically, I start a track up in Reason and switch back and forth between that and Recycle when I need to import loops. The only problem with this strategy is that when I go back to Reason (everytime) the midi in does not respond, at all. I have tried everything that I can think of, even checking oms. I swear I am not on crack and yes, initially when I open Reason, the midi does work. If this helps, this is my setup: Roland Juno 106 or Yamaha CS6X connected via midi to Digi 001, Reason and Recycle software (as well as Protools, which I do not use during the creation of the track), Mac G4 DP 550 (overclocked) Any help with this stumbling block would be greatly appreciated. |
