I hate to tell you G5 owners this but the G5 is not all its cracked up to be. For the gentleman thinking of upgrading from the G4 stay with the G4. I work in an Apple service center and sell them as well. We had a guy come in using the G5 for the same thing we all do recording. He had all kinds of problems with noise...whistles, buzzing, and so forth. We spoke with Apple (since they advertise that these G5's are perfect for recording) and they basically said sorry it is a design flaw. Our recording customer was terribly upset and is on the virge of going PC. So my suggestion is to wait on the G5's for a couple of revisions.
