Hi all,
Just switched from a windows pc to a powerbook. Very happy I need a basic audio editor to record, trim and normalize samples that is either free or cheap. I have been using Sound Forge on PC but this does far more that I actually need. I want it to be extremely stable in OSX and I am prepared to pay for that if need be. Just interested in the options. I'm aware of Audacity but i'm not sure if it would be right for me. I'm not going to be doing any mastering so heaps of plug ins aren't necessary. Any suggestions |

Sound Studio works very well, and is great for digitizing tapes and records (has nice interface for putting in markers, splitting into files, etc.)
However, I think it is limited to 16-bit resolution. I tried Audacity, but it randomly crashes on me. |
