Would ike to use a 1 Ghz Titanium 17".

Is it possible to run DP4 and either of these samplers at the same time?

Anyone doing it now in Panther?

I also, want to run Lounge Lizard, although not at the same time as the sampler.

When running the soft synths, I expect to record only 1- 3 tracks with no effects, or play back a stereo mix and record midi tracks for the soft synths.

How about Kompact vs. Kontakt?

Thanks for your input.

Dave

You can, although DP is known to be unfriendly with the laptops. But a few tracks shouldn't be a problem. Best is to try it out first though. in my opinion kontakt is less processor hungry than machfive (I have both). I don't know kompakt so I can't tell. The nice thing about komtakt is that you can do something very similar to keyswithching from giga sampler, so when importing giga files, this is preserved. Machfive doesn't have that although they might include it in the next few years or so... ;-). What kind of samples are you planning on using?
