I'm swithcing over from cakewalk in which I can set the MIDI parameters for each track. For example I can set thhe track so that it will play the selected patch in a different octave or with different velocity.
I have not yet figured out hoe to do this inn DP4 or iff it is evven possible. It would seem to be a tremendous oversite! thanks wj |

Open up your mixing console in DP4 and at the top of each channel strip are drop down menues where you can transpose, compress, etc. Quite a comprehensive list of midi editing options. You just moved up to the best sequencer on the planet.
Also, force yourself to read the manual. It is extremely well written. It's big, I know, but it will tell you stuff that you never realized DP could do. Also, there is a very good website for DP users: www.unicornation.com. Good luck.
