I'm actually in the same boat: I'm looking for Mac software that's similar to FruityLoops -- something to create drum tracks.

It looks like you simply feed Groove Agent a tempo and feel and it makes it up -- I'm looking for something that I can actually program individual drum hits (kicker, snare, etc.) to patch together my own drum beats. Any experienced Mac musicians know of such a software I can use? Or would going MIDI be a better route?

EDIT: Actually, after poking around, I found this in another post that someone recommended:

Doggiebox - www.zygoat.ca/products/

This looks like it might solve your problem, jspat, although it sez it requires OSX. It looks like it's perfect for what I need. Anyone else used this program? Any pros or cons?
