Hi, I'm new here...thought I drop a note and tell you all what a great board this is, glad I found it and glad to be here.

I thought as my second post, I would start some controversy by asking this question: Which is the best soft in your opinions?
Logic, Digital performer or Nuendo?

I ask because I'm a protools user on 001 with protools LE 6.1.2 and I've decided, that since this hardware is to be dropped from digi "official" support, I would take this opportunity to get off of the didigesign money train before I lose my mind and follow a "forced" upgrade to digi 002 or even worse, a mix or HD unit.

I have a small non-commercial composition studio with lots 'o outboard gear, mikes, keys and guitars as well as a pc full of softsynths. My primary app is protools, everything is synced to my G4. It appears that if I want to go to panther, or eventually a G5, I'll need to dump the '001. It's not even a year old yet. oh, well....

PS I love protools, but I feel that I'm getting sucked into the marketing hype and don't have the cash to give away freely to a company that is at the very least NOT customer friendy.

Thanks for your opinions and I hope this don't start a war...

If you got a small studio with "lots" of outboard gear, Motu makes a very decent firewire interface Motu-828 MK-II.

Lots of inputs outputs both analog & digital, you can have 4 discreet separate stereomixes assigned to different buses/outs.

It can also work as standalone mixer/DA-converter.
Read about it at:
