g5 needs a sound card to record analogic audio or for use vst instrouments ?

logic audio or cubase sx? what is better ?

actually on my laptop i use cubase sx and i can add internal effects in the same time i'm recording sounds so i can ear how it sounds while i'm playing some one told me logic can't do this you can add effects only after
having recorded the trak is that true?

G5 as all macs have a build in soundcard, you need another one to have better converter either A/D or D/A as the Apple one give standard hifi CD quality sound. You can hear what you do in Logic or other softwares using only that. You can have something better still.

On the debates upon the sequencers, browse a little here you'll find a lot of threads on this already.

On the 3rd question I can't tell you. i'm not a Logic user
