Could any one please recommend a good software choice for me, I play the guitar (Strat) and would like to lay down rhythm, bass and drum tracks so that i sound a bit near the mark. I have been told that Cubase SX is OK then another “expert?” in London’s Music street (Charing Cross Rd) recommended Logic, the info I get is ambiguous and conflicting. Many thanks in anticipation blink.gif

I have done complete songs in midi in PT LE so I know PT LE has no prob doing basslines... there are some more complex midi things that PT LE won't do but its not really that bad for midi IMHO. As matter of fact... my song "Galactic Thrush" on the MacMusic CD is done entirely in PT LE midi if anyone has that. wink.gif

But if composing in midi is the major thing... then I would suggest Logic but PT does audio better.
