I've got a Digi001 breakout box with my G4 and i can't get it to send/receive MIDI signals to my computer. Am I missing something? settings or whatever?

I recommend using the IAC Driver.
The IAC Driver is a virtual MIDI cable, which is used for communication between two OMS-compatible MIDI applications, e.g. Reason. To re-install the IAC Driver, start the OMS Installer. Then select the option „Custom Install“ and choose the entry „IAC Driver“. In your sotware (eg. Reason) select the midi output as IAC Driver and in ProTools select the midi input as IAC Driver. You should be able to then record midi in ProTools with sounds from other software synths (eg. Reason). Hope this helps. |
