i'm in a pretty straight ahead rock band as keyboard/guitar player and i wanna introduce some idm elements to the mix.
so i might get my hands on a clamshell ibook dv. since all my stuff is off pc platform, this may not be the wisest choice. however, i feel like mac is really where i wanna be anyways. i have been using fruity loops pretty heavily and would like to switch to something for the mac platform that has is simple and familier for organic sample based loop-ology. what would you suggest....and am i even on the right track? so many thnxin advance yall! ![]() |

Native Instruments' Battery (currently OS 9 only, I think), Reason 2.5, Steinberg's Virtual Drummer (or something - out soon) or Doggiebox (doggiebox.com) are all good drum apps in their own way. Doggiebox is fairly basic, but cheap and it works well enough for getting started - $29.
