Okay - I know all you pros must be tired of this one, but having spent the last two hours trawling the net and coming out with several different opinions on this old chestnut, I need help. I want to plug my Technics and ~Pioneer mixer into my 12" Powerbook and record continuous mixes from vinyl. Then I'd want to add track markers and track titles and burn them to cd with my superdrive - i.e. make a professional sounding Mix CD akin to those irritatingly commercial Ministry of Sound efforts.....
I'm looking for the best quality and most user friendly options without shelling out any readies.....or at least a minimum amount. Ideally, anything that keeps an eye on peak levels etc..would be good as I have a habit of cranking it up a little once I get going. |

You may want to look at Griffin Tech's Powerwave USB audio interface. It's very reliable and I believe they make an app called Final Vinyl. Other good software options include Spark ME (free version) or Bias' Peak.
