Hi everybody,
I've had lots of problems with my iBook recently, while trying to record some external sources (CDs, minidisc, etc). I'm using Peak 3.2. The sound is always very bad, whatever the hardware settings; I tried to change the buffer size, the audio rate, etc. While it changes something, the sound is still bad (lot of noise, scratches here and there, distortions, etc). I'm under OSX, on an iBook 600, 4 Gb of HD space. I really don't understand what's going on ! I mean, the iMic is not the best USB audio interface in the world, but it should at least work properly... hm.. whats the trick here? i thought hub will only make the whole path more complicated.. whats so good in using hub?
