hi thisis me first post

what do you think about track ball mouse
will it make it easier to edit on my sequencer etc

and which do you think is best deal
looked at logitech and kensington

Yes, input devices are very much a personal preference. I don't play nicely with trackballs myself, but that's just me. One suggestion, though: Whatever you think you might want, go into a store first and spend some time playing with it. Pointing devices are one thing that you are usually better off buying from a store vs. online, so you can play with them first.

And whatever you get, make sure it's a device capable of precision pointing, because you'll be needing that a lot for MIDI and audio editing. I had an ALPS touchpad for a while. It was great for general use, but for MIDI editing, it was too difficult to position the cursor precisely enough.
