Hello. I'm using OS 9.2.2, PB G3 400, Logic 4.8.1 and minimal extensions.
I recently got the Quattro and find that the driver is extremely unstable. After setting the OS input to USB, I open Logic, start a new file, make sure that ASIO Quattro is set. Then once I go to a track in Logic and push the record button to get a signal from my Quattro, there is none. I look at the sound control panel and the USB option is no longer there. It 'disappears'. I have to shut Logic down and then push the Quattro power off - then on to get the OS to find the driver again. This pattern then repeats and I go insane and begin to download the Cubase demo to see how that works. I think that the Quattro driver is buggy. ANd am wondering if M-Audio will still update the OS 9 driver or not since OS X is out etc. Any suggestions? Does this happen to anyone else? I have gotten it to record for very short periods of time, but never consistently. thanks ~ starfruitman |
