I recently got a used iMac G5 1.8 gHz desktop (80G internal hard drive and external partitioned 160G hard drive). It came loaded with a bunch of software including Logic Express 7. I have purchased an Mbox 2 with bundled Pro Tools LE 7 software but I was wondering if I can also use the Mbox 2 as my audio interface for recording to Logic Express.

I don't really do MIDI yet so I would mostly be recording vocals, guitars, drums, keyboards, etc.

Thanks for any responses.

Thanks for your reply. My thought was more of trying out Logic Express as an alternative to Pro Tools rather than within Pro Tools. (Although if it can be used within Pro Tools, or as an adjunct to Pro Tools, I'd like to know how I can find out how to do that.) One of the things that interests me about Logic versus Pro Tools as that there seems to be a lot more plug-ins available free or inexpensively that can be used with Logic than are available for Pro Tools.

So I guess I'm still somewhat unclear if I can use Mbox 2 as the audio interface if I'm using Logic Express on its own. It seems like you are saying that I can but i want to be sure. So many things can go wrong with computer hardware and software!
