i'm new to computer music, but i've done electronic music for quite some time now. i love the things i can do on computer, but i really miss 3 machines i used to have. these include the roland xp60, the yamaha rm1x, and the E-mu xl7. i know these were all romplers or whatever, but why is it so hard to find something comparable on computer. i have a 1.07 GHz iBook G4 which i know is SUBSTANTIALLY more powerful than any of those synth/sequencers i had. none of them needed multiple GB of memory, but they were great machines with great sounds. am i looking past some stuff with software or does this sort of thing not exist?

I think the E-mu sounds are available in sample form, but for the (censored) card they do now which are only for windows PCs… unsure.gif
