Hello all,
I've been up all night , but here is the problem. 14 or so traks of audio in Cubase in a pc laptop. need to import tracks to dp4 on a mac. I've had no problems opening a song in cubase, getting wav. files, having them show up in dp4. My problem is that the files that were punched in or recorded latter in the song do not show up in the right timeline areas. Any ideas on how to make the song show up the same on both programs? This would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. By the way "yes" none of the tracks are labeled right, but that's my clients fault not mine. |

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but I already "troubleshooted" cubase OMF export feature (I was exporting from SX to Protools). Indeed you do not need to bounce every track to zero and re-import them in DP. You should give us more details on which export caracteristics you use. Question: Is DP supports OMF 2.0? if not check the 1.0 box when expoting. The reason why I ask this is that when I'm opening a "Cubase OMF" in Protools, a plug-in called DIGI-TRANSLATOR is needed. Maybe, on DP, you need something similar. Advice: Do not allow the "SNAP EVENT TO FRAME" option. If you do so, your events start will snap to grid according to the tempo of your arrangment. Which is not usefull when your song has no tempo track. Even if you do have a tempo track and did some edits (cutting or moving events) with the "GRID BUTTON" disabled, you once again shouldn't allow the "SNAP EVENT TO FRAME" option. Hope this will help. |
