Hi, I have a PowerBook G4 with built in 10/100 ethernet. Only USB1.1.
I'd like to use Logic Node: I have an audio interface in my firewire 400 port (only 1 firewire port) but can daisy cahin from it - does anyone know how well that would work with Logic Node?
What about if I bought an Airport Extreme setup - would that allow me a fast enough connection to a G5, or any other Mac?
Any help on whether I can make my PowerBook use Logic Node much apprecitated!
Peter

Hi, I cannot swear to the accuracy of this, but when I asked apple if I could make one of my G4's into a Logic Node, they informed that only G5 systems can be Logic Nodes. I Run Logic from a G5 in Native form and would like to have added the G4 as a Node and could not get it to work.
Also the computers need to be connected by Gigabit Ethernet and for me that means I would have to update all my network to Giga Bit and that Includes the Routers and Firewall Hubs.

I use Logic on my G4 as Well and run it on Pro Tools Hd hardware, so as yu can see for that I really do not need a G5 node.
As the G5 system only has 3 PCI slots I would have to update all my Digidesign Hardware to HD Accel to get the same TDM performance and then I could use the G5 as a Logic Node.
