QUOTE (johnny five @ Apr 20 2005, 17:03) Hiya...
was just wondering if anyone could recommend to me any hi quality drum sample packages to use in my home studio? I'm runnin a mac g4 with protools, looking for something a bit vintage and organic sounding.
cheers Do you mean DVDs of loops? Probably the best thing I can recommend is one that I bought from people called Drum Drops. They do a good line in getting big name drummers (like Keith Leblanc from the Sugarhill Gang, Style Scott from the Roots Radics) and recording them on vintage equipment through an analogue desk. There's some sweet sounds going on there, and a range of styles - rock, funk, reggae - and they do them in multitrack and sample formats. Far as I know, they work with pretty much all programs. check them out and have a listen. www.drumdrops.com. Best package I've bought. Good luck!
