Okay i have a general question. Im starting a project from scratch (just a empty logic template) and i want to have the ESXP24 play in track 1. So heres my logic. i create a track in my arrange window then go to "environment" to create a "audio object" with intentions of making an object and in the I/O plugin part i want to select mono-> then exsp24 then assign the object to "instrament 1" and in track one select "Instrament 1". Thats was my plan, but when i go to environment to make the audio object, the object is empty and just says "off".That is my main problem. However there is a preexcisting audio object that is "on" but in the I/O plugin part will only let me select imputs 1 or 2. It wont let me choose between mono or stereo and let me choose the ESXP24. Im sorry for brothering you guys i am just trying to understand how logic works better and assumed you guys had a better understanding. I thank you in advance. -Alex

Here's how to do it :

1. Create new audio object in envionment (audio page).

2. In the left side of the window you can see the properties of the newly created object -> choose the audio device you are using for playback.

3. In the same place you must choose the object type (I don't have Logic here right now so I'm not sure what it's called but it's easy to find) -> choose "Instrument"

4. Now double-click the object (unless it expanded automatically) and the channel strip appears.

5. Go to track mixer and choose Instruments view -> You can now see the channel strip, insert EXS24 in the slot just above the output selection.

Hope this helps.
