Hi everybody, I recently had problems with my Imac G3 DvSe and got it checked. It happens to be the logicboard... They tell me its worth $350 CAD only for the board... The thing is that I need this oldie as well to work. Do you guys think I'll pay too much for the repair. I checked on ebay to see if there would be equivalent boards to sell and theres no. Also, I guess its touchy to change it all by myself...

I need advices pls. Did someone ever had a similar problem. Would I be better off buyin a similar used one...it could break the same way in not much time...
shall i go new, or used...

tx.

Hi everybody! after 3 weeks of check-up by the only certified mac shop nearby my town, I got the verdict: its both the logic board AND the analog board (power supply). And they tell me its $700 CAD + taxes!!!! Obviously it's a no no. So I'm gonna take back the comp as it is, broke.

But now I'm looking to buy and change these 2 pieces by myself. I'm pretty sure I can find those for way cheaper than their prices. Anyone as advice on where I can find these or how I can do the repairs?

I'd like to find some sites where they explain how to proceed to exchange parts...

thanks.
